GELACTIVE NPK 18-7-5 FLAKES is one of the new formulations developed in our research center in collaboration with universities, thanks to the development of our new registered process technology GEL ACTIVE FOAM®. By acting on pressures and temperatures during the production process—specifically during the thermobaric hydrolysis phase—this technology allows the protein molecule to release ordered fractions of amino acid chains. This ensures a more regular release of organic protein nitrogen, which is further enhanced by the physical form of flakes measuring approximately 2 mm. GELACTIVE NPK 18-7-5 FLAKES is an NPK organo-mineral fertilizer obtained through the reaction between mineral matrices and organic-protein components. The formulation process is designed to maximize the protection of mineral elements, particularly phosphorus (P) and potassium (K), reducing losses due to insolubilization. The formulation includes: slow-release organic nitrogen, a significant portion of urea nitrogen, a balanced ratio of P and K, and a fraction of highly selected organic matter. The presence of organic nitrogen of protein origin guarantees a gradual and constant release of the element, promoting steady vegetative development and limiting leaching losses. The high quality of the organic matrices used gives the product excellent agronomic efficacy, making it possible to reduce fertilizer units compared to traditional mineral fertilizers, resulting in cost optimization and a reduced environmental impact. The fertilizer is suitable for autumn and late winter fertilization of tree crops. It is also ideal for the fertilization of horticultural crops. Like all products in the GELACTIVE FLAKES line, this formulation allows for a reduction of approximately 15-20% in application rates compared to a conventional pellet formulation, thanks to its superior agronomic efficiency.
