GELACTIVE NPK 12-5-5 FLAKES is one of the new formulations born in our research centre in collaboration with universities, thanks to the development of our new patented process technology GEL ACTIVE FOAM®. This technology, acting on pressures and temperatures during the production process, particularly in the thermobaric hydrolysis phase, allows the protein molecule to release regular fractions of amino acid chains, ensuring a more regular release of organic protein nitrogen, further enhanced by the physical form of flakes measuring approximately 2 mm. GELACTIVE NPK 12-5-5 FLAKES is an organ-mineral NPK fertiliser obtained through a reaction between mineral components and organic matrices, designed to enhance phosphates and micronutrients protection against insolubilisation processes. GELACTIVE NPK 12-5-5 FLAKES is a complete fertiliser enriched with sulphates and calcium. The product provides a high level of organic nitrogen and an ureic fraction stabilised with the organic matter, which slows down its hydrolysis. The organic nitrogen mineralises gradually, ensuring a constant organic matter supply over 20-35 days after the application and incorporation. The combined action of organic matter and protein matrices, increases the soil microbial biomass, improves the micronutrients assimilation, particularly iron, and promotes a greater phosphates availability. In addition, the stimulation of the soil enzymatic activity enhances the development of the roots system. Thanks to the presence of organic nitrogen, the formulation contribute to limit nitrates losses through leaching, supporting, at the same time, a balanced vegetative growth. This results in improved plant physiology, greater resistance to major phytopathologies, and increased tolerance to environmental stresses, especially water and temperature stress. GELACTIVE NPK 12-5-5 FLAKES is suitable for a wide range of crops and is particularly recommended for autumn and spring basal fertilisation, as well as for top dressing applications in orchards, with or without grass cover. This formulation, like all those in the GELACTIVE FLAKES line, allows for a reduction of approximately 15-20% in application doses compared to a conventional pellet formulation, thanks to its improved agronomic efficiency.
