GELACTIVE NPK 4-8-16 FLAKES is one of the new formulations born in our research centre in collaboration with universities, thanks to the development of our new patented process technology GEL ACTIVE FOAM®. This technology, acting on pressures and temperatures during the production process, particularly in the thermobaric hydrolysis phase, allows the protein molecule to release regular fractions of amino acid chains, ensuring a more regular release of organic protein nitrogen, further enhanced by the physical form of flakes measuring approximately 2 mm. GELACTIVE NPK 4-8-16 FLAKES is an organo-mineral NPK fertiliser obtained through the reaction of raw materials, formulated to enhance the high organic nitrogen content and improve the assimilability of phosphates through the action of complexing organic components. The organic nitrogen present gradually mineralises over 20-35 days after application, ensuring a gradual release. The addition of organic matter increases the microbial biomass in the soil, improving the availability of microelements, particularly iron, and promoting better phosphate absorption. The presence of potassium contributes to the regular development of the fruit and improves its post harvest shelf life, while the increase in soil enzyme activity stimulates root growth. The balance between organic and mineral components reduces nitrate leaching losses, promotes uniform plant growth and increases resistance to plant diseases and environmental stresses, both hydric and thermal. GELACTIVE NPK 4-8-16 FLAKES is particularly suitable for autumn and spring basal fertilisation, even in grassed vineyards and tree crops. The formulation is also recommended for base and maintenance treatments in soils deficient in phosphorus and potassium, in orchards, vineyards and citrus trees, with or without grass cover, and is also widely used in high-value herbaceous cultures such as potatoes, tomatoes, sugar beet, melons and tobacco. This formulation, like all those in the GELACTIVE FLAKES line, allows for a reduction of approximately 15-20% in application doses compared to a conventional pellet formulation, thanks to its improved agronomic efficiency.
