GELACTIVE NP 20-10 NBPT FLAKES is one of the new formulations born in our research centre in collaboration with universities, thanks to the development of our new patented process technology GEL ACTIVE FOAM®. This technology, acting on pressures and temperatures during the production process, particularly in the thermobaric hydrolysis phase, allows the protein molecule to release regular fractions of amino acid chains, ensuring a more regular release of organic protein nitrogen, further enhanced by the physical form of flakes measuring approximately 2 mm. GELACTIVE NP 20-10 NBPT FLAKES is an organo-mineral NP fertiliser obtained through a reaction between mineral components and organic protein matrices, carried out with a coextrusion process that optimises the interaction between the organic and mineral fractions. GELACTIVE NP 20-10 NBPT FLAKES is characterised by (a) organic nitrogen with natural slow release, derived from high-quality protein matrices, (b) ureic nitrogen with NBPT, a urease inhibitor that delays urea hydrolysis and significantly reduces nitrogen losses, (c) assimilable phosphorus that becomes progressively available thanks to complexation with the organic fraction and (d) organic matter of protein origin. GELACTIVE NP 20-10 NBPT FLAKES makes it possible to apply dosages specific to the actual needs of crops, optimising yields and management costs. It also contains phosphoric anhydride (P₂O₅), which, thanks to its interaction with the organic protein matrix, is made available to plants throughout the crop cycle. The use of GELACTIVE NP 20-10 NBPT FLAKES is particularly recommended in alkaline soils. The product is recommended for sowing autumn–winter cereals, such as common and durum wheat, as well as for spring and row crops including maize, sorghum, sunflower, oilseed rape and sugar beet. It is also used in industrial vegetable crops such as tomato, artichoke and spinach. It is of particular agronomic interest for tree crops such as citrus, olive and hazelnut. This formulation, like all those in the GELACTIVE FLAKES line, allows for a reduction of approximately 15-20% in application doses compared to a conventional pellet formulation, thanks to its improved agronomic efficiency.
