GELACTIVE NPK 10-5-15 FLAKES is one of the new formulations born in our research centre in collaboration with universities, thanks to the development of our new patented process technology GEL ACTIVE FOAM®. This technology, acting on pressures and temperatures during the production process, particularly in the thermobaric hydrolysis phase, allows the protein molecule to release regular fractions of amino acid chains, ensuring a more regular release of organic protein nitrogen, further enhanced by the physical form of flakes measuring approximately 2 mm. GELACTIVE NPK 10-5-15 is an organo-mineral NPK fertiliser obtained through a reaction between mineral components and organo protein matrices, a process that increases the assimilability and availability of mineral fractions in the soil. The formulation provides a high organic nitrogen content, combined with urea; part of the urea is protected by the organic matter, which slows down its hydrolysis and transforms it into a form that is released more gradually. Organic nitrogen gradually mineralises during the growing season, ensuring a constant supply for 20-35 days after distribution and, if necessary, it can be incorporated into the soil. The activity of organic matter promotes an increase in microbial biomass in the soil, improving the absorption of microelements, especially iron, and increasing the availability of phosphates. The presence of potassium contributes to fruit development and improves shelf life, while the enhancement of soil enzyme activity stimulates more efficient root growth. The organic content of the formulation also reduces nitrate losses due to leaching and supports balanced vegetative growth, increasing resistance to major plant diseases and tolerance to environmental stress, both water and thermal. The overall characteristics of the fertiliser make it particularly suitable for all high quality crops, both horticultural and fruit, and for all crops that benefit from a prolonged and modulated availability of nutrients. This formulation, like all those in the GELACTIVE FLAKES line, allows for a reduction of approximately 15-20% in application doses compared to a conventional pellet formulation, thanks to its improved agronomic efficiency.
