P-54 is a formulation based on phosphorus pentoxide (P₂O₅), designed to ensure rapid and efficient phosphorus uptake by the plant, contributing to nutritional efficiency and balanced crop development. Phosphorus is an essential element for plants, as it is involved in key metabolic reactions such as photosynthesis, cellular respiration, and the mobilization of sugars and photosynthates from source organs (leaves) to storage organs (fruits, tubers, seeds). In addition, being a key component of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA) and phospholipids, phosphorus actively supports the growth and development of plant tissues, contributing to the structural and functional integrity of cells. P-54 promotes the development of a robust and branched root system, improving the plant’s ability to absorb water and nutrients. It also stimulates flowering and fruit set, positively influencing the quantity and quality of production, and enhances resistance to environmental stress (cold and drought), by supporting a better energy balance and promoting tissue lignification. Due to its acidic formulation, P-54 is particularly recommended for alkaline or calcareous soils, where it helps to locally lower the pH, improving the solubilization and absorption of micronutrients often blocked in such conditions (e.g., iron, zinc, manganese).
