Mico-Shield is a product based on beneficial microorganisms, designed to promote plant establishment and ensure optimal nutrient absorption even under stress conditions, such as post-transplant. Thanks to MICO-SET® technology, which includes a targeted selection of microbial strains of the Bacillus genus (B. subtilis OG39365*, B. pumilus OG69589*, B. velezensis OG58369*), mycorrhizal fungi (Glomus spp.), and Trichoderma harzianum OG99566*, the product improves root system efficiency, increasing the volume explored by the roots and enhancing the plant’s resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Indeed, thanks to the production of bioactive molecules, the microorganisms present in the product support the development of the plant by activating its natural endogenous defence system, and through their rapid colonization of the soil, they hinder the development of harmful microorganisms. Moreover, the microorganisms present help improve the biodiversity of the rhizosphere microbiome, stimulate the production of natural phytohormones, and optimize the absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus, and iron, thereby supporting rooting and vegetative development. The nitrogen-fixing bacteria Azotobacter chroococcum OG15342* and Azospirillum brasilense OG19325* fix atmospheric nitrogen asymbiotically, making it available to the plant, and transform phosphorus from insoluble to easily assimilable forms, thus enhancing nutritional intake. Finally, thanks to the TWIN PACK formulation, the product packaging includes a separate container for Trichoderma harzianum OG99566*, in order to avoid unwanted competition with the other microorganisms, which could reduce their effective concentration in the composition and, consequently, the product’s field efficacy.
